Dylan Albertson is a queer Oklahoma City-based visual and performance artist. Their work is largely inspired by science fiction, philosophy, and drag- their art explores topics of gender, identity, capitalism, and technology, all typically set to the framework of an overarching sci-fi narrative; first and foremost, they like to tell stories with their art. Dylan is an aerialist and drag performer and has been drafting performances and visual art about these topics in particular since 2016.

 

This series is an exploration of the human condition, told through a story of an astronaut dealing with her phobias. In these narrative-based works, Ben Watne is forced to confront her demons- both figuratively and literally- when she encounters an incomprehensible space-dwelling entity and is forced to find an inner strength and divinity to cope.
