I was told to die
in heaven.
So I sipped their poison
looking into God’s eyes
as He grinned the sun
And those with wings laughed the rain
And I rejected his reign
Teeth pressed against teeth
causing diamonds
And the light from his hubris shone through them
And I gifted the world with the colors of my
Pride
