Denise M Oehl was born and grew up in Ohio. She studied art at The University of Toledo. She moved to New York City to continue her study at the School of Visual Arts where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with Honors in Painting. Oehl has shown her work in many group and solo exhibitions. Some of them include a one person show at John Davis Gallery in Hudson, NY and a two person show at LaMama Galleria in NYC, as well as many group shows and a two person show at Holland Tunnel Gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. Other shows include the Eli Center in Connecticut, LABspace, Hillsdale, NY and Woodstock Artist Association and Museum. She is in many private collections as well as Pratt Institute. She currently resides and works in Hudson, NY.
