Leah Dockrill is a visual artist residing in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Her thirty-year art practice includes painting, collage and digital art. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she received her early education there, and went on to study law at Dalhousie University (Halifax) and library science at the U. of Alberta, Edmonton. Leah's art training was informal, and her influences numerous. Her art has been exhibited in Canada and the U.S., in both private, commercial galleries, and public institutions.

 

She has received several awards for her art, and her images have been featured in three issues of Understorey magazine, an online literary magazine focusing on issues of interest to women. The most recent of these is Issue 13: Blood (Spring 2018). Leah also received the Gold Artist Award from ArtAscent : Art And Literary Journal, Issue 32, August 2018, pp 8-10.
