Anæsthesia is conceptual photography series on self-induced emotional numbness which translates insensitivity, inner conflicts, the burden of expectations and family affairs into physical sensations and different object constellations.

 

Recognizing it, playing with it, trying to represent it, looking for its beauty and seeing it in its absurdity, in order to transcend it.

Lucas Damiani (Montevideo, Uruguay, 1994) is a multidisciplinary artist working mainly in the fields of photography, dance and performance, with background studies in psychology. His work subtly explores human stories, intimacy and synesthesia.
